- Allows the skin to breathe
Indications:
- Tubular stockinette is used as an integral part of multi-layered compression bandages for dressing retention, to hold it in place.
- Used as protective covering under or over bandages/orthopaedic casts, as well as to cover splints and padding materials.
- The tubular dressing is applied over the wound covering producing wrinkle-free results and allowing for unimpaired movability of the joints.
- Stockinettes provide an intact surface that retains its integrity, even when exposed to high mechanical strain.
Instructions:
- Cut a piece of the bandage to cover the toe twice.
- Place the bandage over the toe and hold it at the base of the toe.
- Twist the bandage on a full turn (360 degrees) and fold over the toe.
- Secure the base of the bandage with tape if needed.
