Description

Economy Transfer Paper Bang Boom for Orthotic Thermoplastics

Economy transfer paper Bang Boom is designed to add vibrant, high-impact designs to thermoplastic materials used in orthotic fabrication. This heat-transfer paper allows clinicians and technicians to create colourful, customised finishes on orthoses.

During the heating process, the design transfers into the surface of the thermoplastic material, producing a deep, long-lasting colour. The result is a smooth, homogeneous finish that resists scuffing and wear while maintaining the integrity of the material.

Key Features

  • Heat transfer paper for thermoplastic orthotic materials
  • Bright “Bang Boom” design for custom finishes
  • Creates durable, long-lasting colour
  • Maintains smooth, scuff-resistant surface
  • Easy to apply during thermoforming process
  • Supplied in 5 metre rolls

Applications

This transfer paper is widely used in orthotic workshops to customise AFOs, braces and other thermoplastic devices. The lively design makes it particularly suitable for paediatric orthoses, helping improve patient acceptance and engagement.

Suitable for most thermoplastic materials, it provides a quick and efficient way to personalise orthotic appliances without affecting performance or durability.

Application Guide

  1. Cut the transfer paper to the required size for the thermoplastic sheet.
  2. Place the transfer paper with the design side facing the material surface.
  3. Heat the thermoplastic to the recommended forming temperature.
  4. Apply vacuum or pressure during forming to ensure full contact.
  5. Allow the material to cool before removing the backing paper.
  6. Finish and trim the orthotic device as required.

Caution

  • Ensure correct temperature is used to avoid incomplete transfer or overheating.
  • Do not reposition the transfer paper once heat is applied.
  • Test on a sample material before full application.
  • Avoid contamination (dust or moisture) between paper and plastic surface.
  • Use appropriate workshop safety procedures when handling heated materials.
