DARCO HeelWedge® Shoe – Heel Offloading for Postoperative and Wound Care
The DARCO HeelWedge® Shoe is clinically proven to reduce pressure on the heel by shifting weight toward the midfoot and forefoot. This targeted off-loading promotes faster healing after surgery, trauma, or in the presence of heel wounds and ulcerations. Designed for both clinical and at-home use across Australia, it offers a reliable solution for heel protection and rehabilitation.
Indications for Use
- Postoperative recovery involving the heel (soft tissue or bone)
- Heel trauma or fractures
- Wounds or ulcerations on the heel area
- Post-surgical care following plantar fasciitis procedures
- Diabetic foot care (when used with PegAssistâ„¢ insole)
Purpose
- Provides selective off-loading and pressure relief for the heel
- Used in combination with the PegAssistâ„¢ Insole for diabetic foot management and wound healing
