Carbon & Glassfibre Rigid Insole
Description
2.5mm Rolling Insoles for Diabetic Patients
TFC (Thermo Formable Composite) Carbon & Glassfibre Insoles are designed for precision support and long-term durability. With a 2.5 mm thickness, these rigid insoles are best used as rolling insoles for diabetic patients, offering controlled foot movement and improved pressure distribution to reduce the risk of ulcers and hotspots.
Product Overview
Manufactured from a blend of carbon fibre and glassfibre reinforced with a thermoformable matrix, TFC insoles combine the rigidity of composite materials with the moulding versatility of thermoplastics. They are engineered for single-curve shaping and are best suited for use in applications where heel curvature is less critical.
Key Features
- 2.5 mm rigid design: Provides stability and strength ideal for rolling insoles and forefoot-offloading orthotics.
- Diabetic-friendly support: Distributes plantar pressure evenly to enhance patient safety and comfort.
- Carbon & glassfibre composite: Delivers high strength-to-weight performance with reliable flexibility where needed.
- Thermoformable: Can be heated and shaped using a heat gun or oven to match patient-specific contours.
- Heat remouldable: Allows easy re-adjustment and fine-tuning after fitting.
- Simple to trim: Can be cut with scissors for quick size adjustments.
Clinical Applications
- Rolling insoles for diabetic patients
- Orthotic reinforcement plates
- Rigid arch and midfoot support devices
- Custom foot orthoses for mobility and protection
Forming Instructions
- Heat gently with a heat gun or place in an oven for moulding.
- For full lay-up consolidation: bake under vacuum at a maximum of 430 °F (≈221 °C) for 30–45 minutes.
- Once cooled, the insole retains its custom shape and rigidity.
